Order up! The always popular deli-style Bud Bar is back at Himalayan High with some new strain offerings from our friends at Aruna. See the buds in their jars, smell the aromas, then let the server know how much you want. Watch it get selected, weighed, and bagged right in front of you. Customers always want to see and smell the flower, and most of the time that’s not possible with pre-packaged material, so we have a little something different for you on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Let’s learn a little more down below.
First of all, Aruna is a different kind of grower and we like that. Their name – Aruna – is a Sanskrit reference to the Sun God, and that is only one feature that sets them apart. Unlike most growers in western Massachusetts, Aruna does not grow in a lighted warehouse, they grow in a clear-topped greenhouse with supplemental lighting. This allows the natural wavelengths of sunlight to grow the plants more sustainably and traditionally, with a boost of modern technology when needed. A geothermal-based climate control system is also included to keeps the plants healthy and robust. The sunlight enhances the flavors and reduces the energy footprint needed to grow the highest quality flower. Their commitment to their employees and partners rounds out some of their unique and appreciated attributes. Small batch grows, tended with love, using with a combination of ancient and modern growing techniques. We can certainly get behind that and after a few puffs, we know you will as well.
As for the flower, we will be offering two of their current strains. The first is the aptly named Blueberry Muffin. This beauty is an indica-dominant hybrid strain made from a cross of Blueberry and Purple Panty Dropper and the smell is straight out of a gourmet bakery. Produced by the folks at Humboldt Seeds, Blueberry Muffin is well known for it’s identifiable aroma and it’s purple tinged flowers. Filled with caryophyllene and with additional hints of myrcene and limonene, this smoke will leave you feeling relaxed and in a good mood. Useful for a little pick me up anytime of day, when you want some calmness and peace.
The other flower variety we will have in stock is El Chavo, sometimes known as Glitterbomb. Another indica-leaning hybrid, El Chavo is loaded with blueberry and grape terpene smells with some gassy fumes lingering behind the berries. Enjoy this relaxing, giggle-inducing strain with friends around the campfire or with your partner before settling in for your evening of streaming. Tight, dense buds of myrcene, caryophyllene, and linalool, and a thick, flavorful smoke will get your headspace where you want it within a hit or two. Make sure to have a full fridge for late night snacking, because El Chavo tends to bring on the munchies after a couple of hours.
